About BuySellBiz BuySellBiz .com was established in 1996 as the website of a Merger & Acquisition and Business Brokerage firm and therefore has its roots firmly entrenched in realities of buying and selling private companies. You can say that BuySellBiz.com was established by a dealmaker to assist others in buying and or selling their business. The founder of BuySellBiz.com, Ted Burbank, along with his staff of more than twenty dealmakers, has participated in the sale and valuation of more than two thousand private businesses over a span of twenty plus years. It is this experience and Ted's vision that guides BuySellBiz and the content the website provides. Ted sold his brokerage office in December of 2002 and now devotes much of his time to guiding the course of BuySellBiz.com and its sister website bizBookSoftware.com A pioneer in the practice of business sales and valuation, Ted is recognized nationally as an authority on the subjects. He is contributing author of “Handbook of Business Valuations” and “Valuation and Sale of Small and Mid-size Companies”, both published by John Wiley & Sons as well as numerous articles on subjects surrounding business transfers. Ted's newest work, designed especially for business brokers, is the book and software package "How to Transition to a Fee Based Practice." His other works, the book "Buying a Business Made Easier" and DealMaker 4.0 (A six part Business Acquisition Software System) and "DealMaker docs" (business transfer documentation software) are published by Parker-Nelson Publishing as are the book “In and Out of Business ...Happily” and two business valuation programs; “VALUware 6.0” and EZbizPRICER 2.0. Ted has conducted seminars for numerous colleges and trade groups in this country, Canada and abroad on business transfer and valuation issues, Succession Planning and Value Creation Strategies for Small Business.
